Suede is the inner side of leather, sanded to provide a soft and smooth feel. It comes from farms located in the Rio Grande do Sul region and is tanned in Brazil without the use of harmful or prohibited chemicals. VEJA uses dyes that comply with regulations and prioritizes the responsible use of water during the tanning process. This suede is then coated with PFC-free water-repellent oils to protect the sneakers from light rain.
